 John Cody's Alerts!

Main Screen

This screen is the Home Page of John Cody's Alerts!

From here, you can perform any function of Alerts, such as creating a new count-down timer or customize the view of the alert listing.

Menu Functions

  • [ Edit ] - this will open up the edit screen for the currently select alert and allow you to edit it.
  • Disable/Enable - this will either enable the currently selected (and disabled) alert. You may also be prompted if you wish to reset the time for this alert (for count-down timer only), or it will disable the currently selected alert and prevent it from triggering. This may be preferred to deleting the alert.
  • Pause/Un-Pause - This will pause (suspend) the currently selected Timer, or alternatively allow it to continue counting.
  • Dismiss Early - this will dismiss the upcoming (or overdue) due date for a recurring alert. It will then set the alert time to the date/time of the alert's next recurring due date.
  • Reset - this will reset the time for a count-down timer to it's originally set time, or clear a snooze time to an event-based alert so it will trigger the next time the event occurs.
  • Delete - this will permanently delete the alert.

View - this sub-menu will allow you to select which items are to be displayed in the main alert list, as well as the sort order to display them with. NOTE: Selecting the same sort type twice will toggle the ascending/descending mode.

Suspend Alerts - This will simply prevent any alerts from triggering an action. NOTE: Count-down timers will continue to count-down in the background, but they will just not trigger any sound/action when they reach 0:00 when alerts are suspended.

Options - This will display the various options that can be configured within John Cody's Alerts!

Help

  • About/Activation - This will display the About screen, which will tell you the number of days left in your trial period and/or what the version is for Alerts! It will also give you access to the Activation screen, where you can enter your purchased activation code, or a trial-period extension code.
  • Help Index - will display this page, and optionally allow you to see a complete list of available help files for Alerts (by pressing the lower-right "Index" key when help is being displayed).
  • Diag Info - will display some info that is helpful to Omnisoft in troubleshoot any newly discovered bugs with Alerts! Omnisoft support personnel will request this info if it is needed.
