Also, please make sure you spelled "skweezeit.exe" correctly in the registry entries.

I would contact them and mention the above to them, and who knows maybe they'll come out with a fix.

I'm not going to hold my breath on that one!
Maybe I'll take a look at newsbreak.

You'll be glad you did. The default rss reader didn't even last a day with me

I exported the original registry keys and the keys after changing to skweezeit using Resco Explorer and put the keys in the zip file.  If you have somewhere I can upload this to, you can include it to make it easier to make the changes and switch back.

Great application.  I have been using Netfront as my default browser because I love Newsbreak, but hat PIE for viewing sites.  Now I do not have to load Netfront, which is a resource hog.

Works good om my i-Mate SPL WM5 Smartphone using Newsbreak. Changed first two registry settings, :DEFBROWSER is not on my device so no need to change that. First impressions are good. Will test it some more with other tools that use PIE.

Suggestion: Disable the need to say "Yes" every time from within the same program. Maybe make it a setting you can turn on and off.

Thanks for this nice and free tool!

I REALLY  do appreciate your willingness to help the other users. But, the thing is that the "original" values you saved in the .REG file may not be the original values for another user's device. So, once they import your REG, they may not be able to reliably go back to their device's original settings.

This is exactly why I couldn't release this app in a CAB file that automatically made these registry changes.

The right way to do it is to create an installer that will backup the user's current settings, then restore those same settings automatically if the user uninstalls the app. But to create such an installer takes take time that I don't have yet.

Thanks for the suggestion - will see how much interest there is in this app to determine future plans.

Is Skweezer (and Skweezeit) working for anybody right now?

I'm getting errors trying to go to www.skweezer.net.

I hope SkweezeIt!'s use didn't break their servers

UPDATE: I recently sent Greenlight Wireless (the parent of skweezer.net's service) an email asking them if they would be interested in sponsoring further development of SkweezeIt!, since doing so would only help increase the use and awareness of their excellent service.

Right now, only hard-core users can install SkweezeIt! because of the required registry changes.

But, if they could sponsor the development of a full installer for SkweezeIt!, it would then open SkweezeIt's ease-of-use to the mass market.

I will keep everyone updated with their response.
