What is SATALERT?
John
Cody's SATALERT is
a unique program that will download (from NASA's website) the dates and
times that the International
Space Station (ISS) can be seen flying across the sky with just your
naked eyes - no telescope or binoculars needed!
SATALERT automatically creates new appointments
(with alarms) in Microsoft Outlook to remind you right before the space
station is scheduled to fly over your own home city (support for over
3,400 locations worldwide - virtually every medium to large city
in the world -
for the complete list). Each generated reminder tells you exactly
where to look in the sky, making it easy to view the space station as
it passes over your location.
This is a desktop PC program designed to interface between NASA's
website and Microsoft Outlook 97/98/2000/2002XP. And if you have a
Pocket PC, Palm/Visor PDA or a Smartphone, you can sync it to Outlook and it will
automatically power on and beep to remind you just before each viewing,
no matter where you happen to be! (any device that can synchronize appointments
with Microsoft Outlook can be used with this program)
Palm/Visor Users:

for instructions on how to sync Outlook with your Palm/Visor.
With our exclusive "WORRY
FREE TRY ME"
feature, you don't have to worry about 'disturbing' your PC configuration
just to try out this program. Our special installation technology allows
you to fully uninstall this program without leaving a trace if you
choose not to keep it. Unlike some other programs, our installation system
does not rudely make changes to your PC's settings. A single click is all
that is needed to perform the automatic uninstall.

I hope you enjoy the program
and I welcome any feedback, positive or negative :)

This program is dedicated to my grandfather Sal, who gave me the bug for
electronics/computers and space. I wish he was here to see it.
